Meet our sister. Her name is Analog.am, and she is your one stop shop for all your music buying needs. When speaking with YBP customers over the years, one thing that has come up over and over again is our customers’ appreciation for the LP. Or shall we say, the good ol’ fashion vinyl record. You know, what your parents used to listen to, or still do!
People told us that vinyl records resonated with them for multiple reasons. They liked the fact that they weren’t pirating the music, but in fact paying for it. They liked that they got a gigantic piece of artwork in the form of a record sleeve that they could do all sorts of things with. They liked how it just sounded better. It was higher quality, and had a certain “crackle” to the sound. But most of all, they liked listening to the music as the artist intended. No “next” button. In the order the artist chose. Side A, then side B.
So that is what we’ve set out to do. We opened up an online, independent record shop, stocked it with over 50,000 LPs, in every genre you can imagine. Now, obviously we’re partial to indie rock, but we’ve got all the classic punk, jazz, blues, hip hop records out there. Just do some searches and check out all the awesome stuff you can find. We’ve even curated some playlists for your enjoyment.
Analog.am is just beginning, but we’d love you to come and join us for the ride. And just to make sure you’ve got a turntable to listen to all those records, we sell those as well. Plus we’re particularly proud to offer some beautifully framed music photography of some of our favourite musicians.
